Lines in the Sand Size:8"x10" I started to set up

I started to set up a scene to photograph in hopes the light rail train would depart soon

when I left it was howling as a front prepares to head into Colorado

I headed back down the road and went up Trail Ridge Road where at tree line I emerged from the clouds

I had driven past this location in Glacier National Park many times while in the park in 2007 as well as the winter of 2008

As I stood on the side of the road a few people stopped to see what I was photographing

Lines in the Sand Size:8"x10" I started to set upWhat I like about this image is the abstract feel of the sand which I captured. The shallow depth of field helps obscure the real perspective of the size of the sand in the image. This allows the viewer to come to their own conclusion of the scene and allows them to interpret it in their own manner which can also change over time.
